USIFC is an organization working for the development of Economic, Education, Political Alliance, and Cultural Exchange between the US and India. We promote social harmony and cultural understanding between our birth nation and our adoptive home. USIFC is an independent American organization and undoubtedly has no connections with any political parties or organizations in the US or abroad.
Companionship: We strive to establish a bond that is mutually beneficial to the educational, cultural, and economic interests of both nations.
Collaboration: We aim to collaborate as equals and work together for a better world vision.
Commitment: We are committed to this cause.
Our objective is to promote and strengthen the cultural relations and bilateral understanding between the US and India. We emphasize building relations through various programs. This includes US cultural festivals as well as Indian festivals and promotes them through the seminar, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and so on.
The main motive is to present the diverse art forms such as dance, music, ethnic art, handicrafts, etc, and uplift the promising artists. Our encouragement for this exchange through art and culture solidifies the economic interests and develops the economic relations further between the US and India. This in turn can provide effortless outsourcing. By prioritizing economic relations and cultural trade, USIFC boosts the global demand for Indian artists and indigenous culture industries.
To strengthen the economic ties, we engage in various trade issues, address them strategically, and further help in the advancement of trade relations through cooperation. Our aim is to make both the countries, the US and India attain deeper trade relations. USIFC is a non-partisan, non-profit tax-exempt public charity pursuant to Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)3.
USIFC encourages research and student exchange programs between two countries. Our aim is to pave way for entrepreneurial initiatives and help in finding and creating more jobs. We look after the issues in the areas of research, scholarship, funding for educational programs, and student exchange programs between the US and India. Moreover, our organization tries to create more opportunities for specific educational programs and inspire entrepreneurs with funding and linking the efforts both in the US and India.
The main goal of USIFC is to provide more opportunities to the students to explore their interests in the higher education sector with specific scholarships. It can also create more chances for independent academic researchers to find a suitable institute of interest. USIFC focuses on developing the shared democracy nature of the US and India.
Our organization believes in the values of freedom, equality, and justice. We work on a range of issues and support lawmakers who are broad-minded and liberal. This includes their support for equal rights and protection, voting rights, right to privacy, women’s rights and healthcare, gun safety reform, free speech, expression, religious freedom, immigration reform, and human rights. USIFC promotes democracy and secularism and ensures to maintain mutual respect and dignity.
Yes. USIFC is a wholly independent, American organization. It has absolutely no affiliation or ties to any organizations or political parties in the US or abroad. USIFC was founded by second-generation Hindu Americans born and raised in the United States.
We do engage and partner with a broad and diverse spectrum of stakeholders on a range of issues. Partnership in no way indicates an endorsement of the views of such stakeholders, or that we agree on all issues and all possible solutions. It does mean, however, that we’re willing to set aside differences in order to constructively work towards solutions on shared areas of concern.
Please note that USIFC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which makes all donations to us tax-deductible.
Advocate on a range of issues, which provides opportunity to work with lawmakers and stakeholders on different sides of the aisle. Our position on every issue is based on a relentless pursuit of facts, and deep consideration of Hindu principles and American values, such as freedom, equality, and justice.
Issues we work on that commonly garner the support of lawmakers and stakeholders which might be considered center-left, progressive, liberal, or moderate include: equal protection and due process, voting rights, right to privacy, separation of church and state, gun safety reform, women’s access to healthcare, hate crime prevention, marriage equality, immigration reform, environmental protection, and the ethical treatment of animals.
Issues we work on that commonly garner support of lawmakers and stakeholders which might be considered center-right, conservative, classical liberal, libertarian, or moderate include: free speech, international religious freedom, human rights, national security, counter-terrorism, and immigration reform.
USIFC works to promote dignity, mutual respect, and pluralism, and regardless of the issue, believes a secular, democratic form of government is most conducive to ensuring and upholding these principles.
While our focus is on the wellbeing of Hindus, we also work to ensure that all people and the planet thrive. We believe that this is possible only when and where dignity, mutual respect, and pluralism are nurtured and sustained. That’s why we promote these three principles.
Standing up for the rights of Hindus and other minorities around the world does require us to highlight current and historical discrimination, subjugation, and violation of human rights committed by members of other religious communities. This does not mean we are against other religions, but stems from the belief that factual integrity is necessary to raise awareness, seek justice, and end suffering.
